Not sure how accurate this program is, thought I'd share anyway. I saw this on another forum. Here's the results of my Intel SSD.

Is this legit? and is is safe? not some trick program someone put out that scans your system for pass words or something and disguised as an ssd app?

I can't vouch for how accurate the software may be, but it's not shady. I've seen it on other tech blogs and sites such as lifehacker too, so I'm not worried. It doesn't install any constantly running processes either and my AV didn't flag it. I haven't run it since I posted the link, I wonder if my SSD fairs any different.

Can I just say that this program is not accurate...

First off, there isnt really any way to tell how many write cycles the drives have left anyway..

Secondly, chances are something else will fail in an SSD long before the write cycles do

It's all based on estimates. Of course it's not 100%. It's like a manufacturer stating MTBF. They look at what you currently have used and based on the estimates from the manufacturer can come up with a good estimate of time left. This doesn't take into account controller failure, lightning or a water main breaking above your computer.
