For just OS and drivers 64GB would be sufficient but I'd go for 120/128GB anyway just so there's extra room for the future. I recently got a 120GB Kingston SSDNow for a cheap build, it was £60, and it's been fine so far.
This ^^
I wouldn't go anything under 64GB these days regardless of the intended use. You'll want to put as much on it as you can. 128GB minimum really.
I know newer technologies have come out now, but I still stand by my Crucial M4s. They seem to be pretty cheap now.
right ok thanks buddyKingston and Crucial over Adata. My brothers Adata SSD works great but not exactly super fast. Still far faster than any HDD though.
M500.
well its only for the os an graphics card drivers, got my mate a 1TB WD blue for his gamesI took the plunge into SSDs and I got my Crucial 64GB V4 October last year for £32 with the newer controller and (S5FAMM25) firmware used solely for OS and it's 100% tiptop barely exceeded 25GB usage, but definitely looking at larger Samsung drives at the moment though.
Just make sure he always leaves a minimum of 20% storage free. Beyond 20% the drive starts to degrade faster.
The 120 GB kingstons are really solid, not had one fail at work yet.
