Square Enix has confirmed that a new Tomb Raider Game is in the works

I still need to play the last one. I really enjoyed the first Tomb Raider (2013) and the most recent one looks pretty good but I just have never got around to buying it. Been playing a lot of my old games lately and haven't really cared for anything new for some reason.

That's quick. They're going to burn Lara out if they're not careful. The 2013 reboot was a fresh start, but they could easily drive her into submission. Plus the movie looks terrible.

I am currently playing the last tomb raider and the first tomb raider game I play since the original game.

I love it, i like the story.

They better do something new with it because Rise was too similar to the first one, it already felt stale. And it didn't help that Lara was acting like she's new to everything even after the events from the first one.

Agreed!! There's no growth from previous experiences.

I found the first game dreadful and boring. Never finished it and don't plan on it. Felt like an Uncharted rip off. Yes I know Tomb Raider has been around forever but Uncharted does everything TR does but far better.

I agree. Uncharted is a huge cut above Tomb Raider. I still enjoyed the Tomb Raider reboot, but I'm not in any rush to play the sequel or any further sequels without the developers attempting something new and spectacular.

Yeah Uncharted and the Devs Naughty Dog truly make masterful games. There quality of work is just oustanding. Nothing against TR but it's just not as captivating as Uncharted. Not sure why but it's probably down to writing. Which ND is amongst the best in the business.

I am lucky I only played the very first Tomb Raider and the last one. For me its great as I have not been bored with the rest.

I don't doubt Naughty Dog's ability as I played the first Uncharted game when I briefly had a PS3. They're great games but the fact they're PlayStation exclusive just means I don't get to play them.

If I have a choice between buying a PS4 or a new piece of hardware for my PC I'll go for the hardware every time as I'll get more use out of it; it's usable for a massive library of games that won't become obsolete. My PS4 library would become obsolete once the console dies and with how unreliable the Xbox 360's and PS3 I had were I just don't want to invest in that market again.

For that reason I still very much enjoy the Tomb Raider games and am looking forward to the next one.
