Split of the SX Clan?

Guys,

I was wondering what you'd think about spliting the SX clan up based on location, and having a team leader for each of the teams?

I was considering having 3 teams with the following leaders:

UK - Ins

US - |3ourne

AU & Rest of World - enVias

This is only because as it is already we have a very big clan, and people tend to get left out when it comes to playing matches organised in the UK.

Each team leader would be responsible for registering their section of the clan on a ladder, arranging a local server for them to practice on and arranging for clan matches against other teams.

This doesn't mean that we cant mix and match players if we need subs for a clan game, nor does it mean that we cant all continue to play together for fun.

This is just an idea, so let me know what you think..

Yeah I think this would a good idea mainly because:

1. With the UK leagues, they'll all be played on UK servers and you guys from elsewhere in the world would have to play with high pings. This only really becomes an issue verses better clans!

2. We can still register everyone under the leagues so that if needed, a US or AUS player could come into a UK league match.

3. It would definately "spread the word" about SX a lot better as we'd be competing in more leagues across the world!

sounds like a good idea to me. We can even have interclan matches like SK used to Ins .

tbh i dont think this needs to be a big thing. we can all be registered under one website (sxgaming), we can all play in each others games, but just say the following...

for UK matches, UK team members take team priority.

if we need a USA member, yeah sure, bring em in. but this doesnt need to be a big split. you USA members can organise some matches of your own and get some recruits from pub server if u will, infact i encourage it.

i have been saying to enVias for a while that he should get a AU team together properly.

but seriously, dont treat this as a big deal, theonly thing that has to change is that USA members get a few recruits and enter a league.

I propose that each division of the SX clan recruit 7 team members, and if we need to borrow members at any time, then thats fine.

Also, maybe we could change the clan tag to represent what division we are from e.g:

[-SX-].UK XMS

or

[-SX@UK-] XMS

or

[-SX-] XMS {UK}

or whatever..

But we may have to for the sake of registering on clan ladders (they may not allow the registration of 3 clans with the same tag).

having different divisions based on the continent of residence is a brilliant idea. That way you will have less people to train , better skillz developement and overall the lesser the people to pick from the better a chance to play . We will all still be under SX but in a different division. Makes things a lot simpler for Ins , XMS , Env and me tbh ..

well make this an "internal" thing if you know what i mean. as far as everyone else is concerned, SX are one clan. but amongst ourselves organise seperate divisions. also all players will still be down on the roster on the website and some USA players on the UK league site (when we reg)

I wouldn't bother changing the tags, like everyone has said, we are one team.

The split will just help more people play games, more matches, more leagues, better pings on servers and most of all, a more chance of spreading us into the scene as a clan.

I think if we play like this, advertising for the broadband company etc will be more favourable for them as we'll have a greater exposure.
