Specifications for AMD's Ryzen 9 series of 10+ core CPUs have leaked

Genuinely excited about the AMD parts. If the 10 core comes in at £500 or so Intel are in all sorts of trouble :D

What I find both rather funny/amusing and interesting, is that despite Intel's decades of experience and billions of money, in comparison to AMD, they still have a high TDP in their CPUs. Meanwhile AMD is keeping them lower, even though having more cores and more threads.

It needs to be remembered that AMD are measuring TDP in a different way than Intel for CPUs, just look at power draw testing that compares a i7 6900K and a R7 1800X.

Both of those CPUs use similar amounts of power under load, but the Intel has a 140W TDP whereas the AMD has a TDP of 95W.

Well that is just so missleading then... What if your purchase is based on an SFF build with for example an Noctua NH-L9i cooler and the TDP is important for that type of cooler?.

Interesting times. :D It would be epic if AMD continues price/performance ratio with Ryzen 9. ;)
