I have an awesome set of Bheringer MS20's , their active monitors .2 x 10w 24-bit/192 kHz . Don't get me wrong they are great , but my prioblem comes when I play any early 90's rock , Nirvana , Smashing Pumpkings , Soundgarden you get the idea . With them being old recording's I'm just not getting a decent volume level . Yes I like it load . :banghead: I've been seriously thinking about a set of the Microlab solo 7c's after Toms great review . But they maybe a bit big for my desk . I like the idea of " there seems to be just a lot of music produced "
Ideally they need to be around the £100 area give or take a few quid . And also be active , and just sterio , I have a serious dislike for 2.1 , and even more for 5.1 .They also need to through out more noise than my MS20's . Also for some reason my Xonar will only output in SPDIF so that would also be a must . No idea why this happens I have tried all sorts of solutions from ideas given from here and ( dare I say it ) other forums and it just won't output through 3.5mm . I'm a little bit annoyed by it really , cos my first SC'rd failed and now this , it kind of defeats having a dedicated SC'rd outputting in full digital . I might as well have just used the onboard .
Cheers guys .
