Spec me a Smartphone

So I'm looking to get a cheap smartphone for work, I don't want to spend hundreds but I would like a decent'ish thing not something that will take 5 minutes to react to touch, Or even a tablet with wifi and bluetooth.

Preferably around £100.

That's a fairly tight budget IMO, older high end phones are at the end of their battery and update life and new hundred quid phones are a bit disappointing.

Sony Xperia X seems to be widely available at ~60 pound mark, is flashable with LineageOS 18.1 so you get frequent updates and the budget allows a battery replacement. But someone more knowledgeable than me likely has better and less cumbersome options.


Edit: Scratch the LineageOS 18.1 comment, seems to be experimental at best. Moto G series re decent budget phones, maybe one of those second hand allows for an up-to-date device.
