Source a Sky HD Box

Talking to Sky last week, they wanted £276 plus £30 installation charge - even tho I been with them for 50million years, and installation involves unplugging my Sky+ .... and plug in the new box.. "we have to charge for install" (verified with supervisor dood).

Ok, so on Amazon, a shop sells the box only for £249 + postage. All I need to do is call Sky and change my subscription. (guy from Sky told me that if I found a 3rd party retailer like Comets)

Any1 better £249 + pnp ? (don`t want eBay, want atleast some kind of easy recourse if something`s busted)

PCWorld who I think is the same group as comet is doing the HD box for £149 plus subscription. That being the case I would speak with somebody senior over at sky and get that same deal.

I am same as you been with them for years and got the same spiel from them over the sky+ setup. It will cost me £100 plus installation when at the time it was available on a new subscription at the price of £50 with free installation. Those deals are subsidised by other companies but sky will and can waiver the fees.

Push harder with somebody other than first line sales :D

U got a linkage to that £149, cos their site comes up negative for Sky but they do freeview stuffz.

Sky, I went to supervisory back`n`fore - they`re lucky I paid them that much attention.

Hmm i had a quick search about came up blank like you, but did come across some digitalspy forum posts about it. I seen it available yesterday instore at pcworld.

Yes they can be annoying those sky reps.

Good luck let me know if you get the discount will more than likely be getting the upgrade myself this year would hope to get a reduce on the usual price.
