Sound card to go with my speakers

Just bought some Z-5500 5.1.. Need a decent all round sound card.. Films, games and music. For ~£100. Any Uk website.. Any brand just a good'un. Help would be nice

Heard lots of great reviews about the AuzenTech Prelude.

Yes it's a bit over what you're willing to spend, but from what I can gather it's a great card.

Maybe Creative's equivalent (sp) will be better priced?

I`m full of questions about soundcards vS newer mobos vS Vista/XP issues.

I`d be sure what u get is 1000% compatible, we don`t want driver/setup friggin issues on new equip.

Maybe Kemp can add a point or 2 about compatibilty with new kit. Don`t think my X-fi Fatal got on with a new board of his or Vista or something. (works fine in an AV8 and XP)

Yeh.. Ill see how they sound through my onboard. But i was thinking the RAZER barracuda w/e its called. Should be nice. Aslong as its an improvement over my onboard. I will pay upto £140 MAX lol.

The RAZER AC-1 sound card is an Auzentech card anyway. I'd get the X-Fi Prelude for the win...an absolutely fantastic card imho.

I would presume so mate, all of their other cards (Meridian, Mystique) have Vista 64-bit drivers. I tested the X-Fi under 32-bit Vista.

havent got em yet, should be here on wednesday. Ordered this morning after 'sleeping on the thought' of buying them. Ill go for the prelude for Xmas then..
