No surprise they are working so closely. As AMD and Xbox are doing. With how close AMD is working with the biggest players plus owning Windows, AMD could be in a very strong position in the near future. At least enough to challenge Nvidia on some fronts.

Honestly, I think the AMD partnership with Xbox is already starting to feed into Windows given how much better AMD drivers seems to be compared to Nvidia these days.

Nvidia don't really care about Windows performance from what I've seen what with them creating their own ARM based desktop CPU coming out this year or Q1 next, I reckon they'll want to transition the gaming crowd over to a custom made Linux ARM based distro where they have more control over performance for both CPU and GPU.
