Sony will soon be adding PS4 games to PlayStation Now

I'd rather just play on my PS4? Why bother streaming? If someone could help me understand that I'd appreciate it. Currently I don't see the point

im drawing a blank too, if you have a pc why not just buy the games on pc as there cheaper on pc for the bulk of them and play them on pc without the latency.

A couple of scenarios - my PS3 is in the living room so if I'm playing a game and the missus wants to watch something... well I lose that argument every time so I could go play on my PC.

Secondly - PS exclusive titles. I bought Forza Horizons on Xbox and play on my PC as that's where the steering wheel etc is set up. Also - I don't own an Xbone yet.

It also should allow you to play against a larger player base.

Would it be easier and more convenient to play on your PS4? Definitely.

Im wondering why your saying it lets you play on a bigger playerbase, streaming to the pc wouldnt allow you to connect to pc multiplayer, you would still be on the ps network would you not.

Jesus Christ, really? Not everybody has a PS4. Some PC gamers would like to play some PS4 exclusives.

You can lay off and cool off the unnecessary sarcasm
Maybe wasn't aware you could just use this service alone and maybe just maybe thought you would need a Ps3 or PS4 for it to work.

Tbh a total guess. If its fully integrated then ps/xbox/pc players should all be able to play in the same instance and have combined leaderboards etc. Depending on the game of course.

Would save me having two copies of GTA V.

Dunno, if its streaming its still classed as a ps4 and its a ps4 version of the game. As of yet i cant think of any game that has cross platform multiplayer

I play Horizons 3 on PC which supports it (Xbox live app) and I believe Rocket League is cross platform as well although I don't own that one.

The whole point of this is to allow gamers to play PS3 or PS4 games without a console or a powerful PC.

All they need a PC that is powerful enough to decode a stream and a decently fast internet connection.

Yes owning the real console and physical games is better than streaming, but it is a great option for those that want to game and don't want to spend £200+ on a console and then buy several games.

I guess because they want to do what Xbox is doing right now. And I have tried the whole streaming to PC... its horrible.

The latency when it increases makes controller input laggy for one. It's not a pleasant experience at all. I do wonder what the point of it was. Maybe its intended for those die hard console gamers who take a controller and laptop on vacation or are simply away from their console and want to play it.

why these companies don't just build working emulators for PC is beyond me. Obviously piracy Is a big problem but there are steps that could be taken to reduce this risk. Meh what do I know, I've been saying for years that Nintendo need to stop making consoles and go the Sega route and make games for other platforms at least then they would hit a wider market.

Because people would stop buying consoles.
