Sony has released some new images of the its PlayStation 3 which showcase the styling differences between the 20GB and 60GB versions of the console. For now, the only differences externally (other than the lack of a HDMI port and media reader on the lesser model) is the 60GB version's silver trim around the Blu-ray drive slot and below the four front-mounted USB ports as well as silver Spider-Man-esque PlayStation 3 lettering on top of the console. The 20GB model makes do with black trim all around.

Sony's PS3 is due to launch on November 17 with a price tag of $499 for the baseline version and $599 for the high-end model with wireless, 60GB hard drive, multi-card reader and HDMI.

Except the Wii!!! God, that thing looks awesome.

I haven't lost respect for consoles, they are still great little gaming machines, but i'de rather used a compy. The Xbox360 has some pretty amazing graphics, I must admit.

I love playstation but seriously, Nintendo pwns. Nintendo = N64 which = mariokart, marioparty, 007, mario tennis. Nintendo pwns

cant decide if the order i would put them in. microsoft > nintendo > sony. OR nintendo > microsoft > sony. Either way im not a fan of the PS*'s. Nintendo have always done what games consoles should be about. provide fun! i mean goldeneye was brilliant. (and it was made in leicestershire :)) Really looking forward to the new console release's to see what there like. cannot afford sony prices though. so Wii here we come!

Sony > MS > Nintendo IMHO :)

I used to believe something like that, but the fact that they haven't or have only just started production, and they say they're going to have 2 million for the release in november, and that's world wide. Now the fact that they're having huge problems with the cell core yields makes it look pretty doubtfull that they're going to get anywhere near their target of 2 million. They then need to have plenty for christmas, and if they're planning for the ps3 to be a success, they'd need at least another 2m ready to be sold worldwide, which tbh isn't going to happen in one month. So tbh, it's probably going to be a major flop.

its costing sony $900 per unit to make and they are selling at loss but getting money back on the software. IMO nintendo Wii (wtf is up with that name?) is more of a budget console for people wanting to play retro and the classic nintnedo (crap:p)

Anyone who spends $600 on a console is just... not smart. BUY A COMPUTER.

At least MS is keeping the price of the 360 somewhat sane, and the Wii will definately be a huge competitor with its uber low price tag, and small form factor with nifty slot-load drive. The controller for the Wii however, leaves much to be desired. Gimme a classic controller, not a

N64 kicked ass. I don't think I ever got stuck in front of a TV for a longer period of my life than when the N64 came out. Totally revolutional console with kick ass games and a great controller. Much N64 luv! I spent a lot of hours playing Sega Saturn too, that was a
