Sony reportedly halts PSVR2 production as inventory piles up

Not surprised given its the same price as a console and that people are most likely still happy with version one. I know they are going to allow it as a PC headset soon which I'd be interested in if supported correctly time will tell when others have used it but the price for all these headsets needs to reduce if they want gen on gen sales.

I think it is far more likely that VR is pretty dead and no games are coming out for it.

It's a useless gimmick. I tried it once and it was OK, but the novelty wore off quick. It's just not worth it. People want to relax when they're playing a game. They don't want to stand up and wave their arms around. It's easier to just sit down and press buttons.

If they had a lower launch price, Bigger library and made it available for PC too it would've sold a lot more, It's why Quest 3 has sold very well even though it's more expensive than the Quest 2, It's portable, Great screens/lenses, Absolutely massive library and you can hook it up to a PC for PCVR.

For VR you need to offer a very good value proposition or it will simply not sell well.
