It's almost double the price of the base PS5 in my country, though. I was thinking of getting a PS5 for my birthday in March, and I'm not sure if I should get the Pro. It doesn't seem like it would be worth the investment. And I'm mostly getting it in anticipation of GTA VI. Now, even if GTA VI ends up running better on the PS5 Pro, it will get a PC version down the road anyway. So I'm really leaning towards the base model right now. Especially since I spent quite a bit of money on tech in 2025. Got an OLED monitor just a few days ago, too.
Yeah, it is similar to PS4 and PS4 Pro in this regard. So games with variable resolutions will sit closer to their upper resolution limit at more times. Sadly, the PS5 Pro isn't as big of an upgrade in raw compute terms.
It will be interesting to see what the next iteration of PSSR is like. It should be similar to FSR 4, which should make it a lot better.
