Sony and PlayStation creator Ken Kutaragi made a joint statement Thursday saying Kutaragi would retire from his position as chairman and group CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment as of the company's next shareholders meeting on June 19, and that he has "been considering this decision for some time."

PS3 really doesn't suck. It just doesn't have any good games on it, and people are still bothered by the price. When some good games come out and the price is lowered, I think PS3 will become much more popular.

Hey mister Thermalsuck lay off the PS3 dude. Just because Sony had a bit of a delay getting the console out doesn't mean it sucks. Unfortunately, because of the delay, many game developers took their games to other consoles instead of waiting. Not every product launch is a successful product launch.

Yup. Me to. Even if it doesn't, they still have the PS2 which is still the #1 selling console on the market.

Wondering when somebodies immaturity was gonna call off the sig. Look dude, if it was actualy a good console, it would have launched like the Wii. Nuff said. Same goes for the 360.

Hey hey hey, calling out the PS3 is one thing, but the 360!? :eek: :nono:

IMO the 360 is a very well thought out and executed system. It has a good game selection, good extras, and great graphics. I like the Wii but I feel the 360 is neck and neck with it.

The 360 didn't have a very good launch. It has picked up since then but the launch was bad.

The PS3 does suck because it is selling badly, games are continually being canceled/moved to another platform, and Sony are loosing money on it. If it at least made money or was selling well or had a good selection of games I would say it doesn't suck.
 
Agreed. PP and NickS consider this an unofficial warning, the next one will be an infraction.

Why is it when it comes to consoles people get to angry?

The PS3 IS a good console, but there isn't enough game support right now and the price is still too high (esp in UK).

360 is a great console with some awesome games and more to come..nuff said tbh

Wii is a pretty cool little console with some good games but awaiting a couple of killer titles imo

Not to point fingers, but i didnt say anything offensive till he did. Even still, what i said was merely fact but enough with that.

How is the PS3 a good console? I dont see how it is considering NOBODY wants to put games on it. Gotta be a reason somewhere.

As to my sig, its a LAN party/ clan thing. Basicaly an inside joke and one of my clan mates comes to this forum. Its funny if you knew what it was about.
 
Have you played on the PS3? The games on it so far are pretty cool, just waiting for GT proper which will be awesome, along with MGS. GT HD preview is very very good and apart from the slightly naff AI no racing game lives up to GT imo.

I'm not a fanboy of anything but you have to say that the PS3 is a good console, despite some bad things about it - same as the other two just newer I spose
 
Ive played them all, but dont own them. Thats what friends are for :D. I WAS going to get a PS3 because of the rumour of FFVII being remade on it. But that was only a rumour. I MIGHT get it for MGS4 but i might also borrow it to play that as well. I dont really know, right now im all into my PC so my money is going in it. I admit, they are all decent systems but just with current facts the Wii is owning the hell outa the 360 and PS3 for the time its been out. And im no fanboy of any of them, obviously.
