Just written up a bit about Lian-Li's new PC-V2130 over on my site and was considering getting one to review if possible and if people are interested.
The PC-V2130 takes over from where the popular PC-V2120 left off and brings with it a whole host of support for water cooling as well as clever and versatile hard drive systems, better cable management and being able to take ginormous motherboards (Micro-ATX to HPTX) and graphics cards (up to 480mm).
The toollessly (that’s a word, right?) removable top panel allows for either 240mm or 280mm radiators to be easily installed. Two more 280mm rads can be placed at the front and bottom of the chassis. Two grommeted holes above the rear 120mm exhaust fan allows for more water cooling support.
The PC-V2130 features 8 grommeted holes for tidy cable management which is very important if you opt for my favourite version, the all black windowed V2130X. I mean, what’s the point of spending time and money building an awesome water cooled PC and then shutting all that hard work away? There’s a 31mm (1.2-inch) space between the motherboard tray and the wall which should allow you to cable tie everything neatly out of sight.
I’m really loving all the toollessness (I know) of this case. On the inside of the chassis, Lian Li’s tool-less PCI slot mounting mechanism allows for simple expansion card installation. On the outside, the entire front bezel can be removed via a couple of thumbscrews – enabling easy access to a pair of 140mm front fans and their dust filters. The side panels can be taken off with just the press of two latches. The font and side panels are also packed with soundproofing foam.
