Socket AM2 due for 6th June

The Enquirer Has found out that AMD are set for the launch of their new platform in June...sooner than feared by some market insiders

DDR2 sees its debut, with AMD waiting until its mature for use.

So will you be getting AM2...or leaving it and sticking with your 939 rig?

Being on the AMD platform for the past few months has put me out of touch with the current state of DDR2. If its improved (A LOT) then i'll probably think about moving to the new platform.

TBH i can't see DDR2 being an advantage as memory speed certainly isnt a bottleneck in AMD systems.

So lets hope the chips have some tricks up their sleves
