socket 1150 mounting brackets

just a heads up for those wondering if about the size of the cpu heatsink mounts.

the mounting is the same size as 1155/1156.

so there is no need to be duped into buying new heatsinks when your old one will properly fit haswell.

i got an asus z87 deluxe and a i7-4770K yesterday, and a h110 bracket fits on it beautifully.

I think the new gold theme is quite new and fresh and unique as we haven't really see it before but its not to my taste. I think I'm going to be boring to stick with ROG red and black

not going for looks - as it will all, eventually, be going in my OOOOGE elyssium. so it will not be seen.

i didnt care about the looks - it was the TEN internal sata3 ports that finally won it for me.... as i will have:

4x 250GB SSDs (boot_OS)
4x 2TB caviar blacks (storage)
1x bluray DL-RW
1x front_panel

BTW: it does 5GHz easily with the h110. i have just ordered 8 akasa black supersilent 140mm fans though, as the xigamatek and corsair ones i have are deafening.

i will put some pics up when it is all finalised.

No one is saying you need a new cooler mate. 1156/1155 and 1150 are all the same mount


FYI if you rage the volts the CPU will degrade so fast......
