So my girlfriend is away for four days on a University trip. I'm missing her like crazy and didn't really realise until now just how much she means to me.

The important question is this:

Do I save up for a new PC, or for an engagement ring?

Not knowing too much, I'd say spend the cash on whatever the hell u like. If she loves u, she'd be happy with a gold painted piece of wire.

It aint about the puss, u can get puss anywhere if u want it.

And besides all that, I'd personally take insurance out against getting married.

My missus would be happy with anything I did for her tbh. If they need you to spend loads on a ring, thats high maintanence shizzle.

Id never let a woman tell me what to do with my money, or demand I buy her something either tbh.

I bought my missus what I could afford, but I wouldn't put a PC above my wife and nor should anyone frankly.

Yeah I know what u mean Kemp, and for sure u'd want to get the best ring, irrespective of the price (I mean granny's ring doesn't cost, but carries a heck load of sentimentality) - and ofc half of her glory is showing it off to friends and yada yada yada...

The reference really is don't necessarily think u gotta spend an ocean of cash on a ring, and yes a gold painted piece of wire is kinda highlighting the extreme

EDIT: Some1 actually worked out a formula for what ur "supposed" to spend on these rings and things. Some factor of how much u take home each month.

Nice to know some of you are so against marriage! Just got a real kick in the balls from my parents, I told them I was going round my GF's dad's house to ask if I could marry his daughter (I know, I'm old fashioned) and my mum started saying how it might be too soon.

Really upset me actually, I was hoping they would be happy for me.
