So whats portal Like

thats one hell of a broadband speed...presume thats fibre optic??? I see your useing the maidenhead server I too live near there wish it was coming near me :(

Great game, but too short. Shame they didnt include a DIY level designer. If they had, and supported customer sharing of created levels, the game would of taken off like a rocket.

It's okay, fun the first time I suppose but doesn't last long. As someone mentioned not something you really want to play again.

Cheap though. A new Portal 2 is coming in the not to distant future (well maybe a while...).

god thats a good speed for non fibre optic I only get upto 6mb...is the BT exchange in you garden LOL

Don't use BT mate :D, just through a Coaxial doesn't even touch the phone line.

The exchange is in my street =D, I remember I took the box open as a little kid and pulled lots of leads out. I was in big trouble as my dad was watching his Time Team :D.

Got grounded for that :D.

Virgin has supplied it, it's their means of connection LOL. They have had it for years, it's the same coaxial connection as the TV they provide. Looks like this.

Buy the broadband/TV and they install the hardware on your wall :D.

Portal is an awesome game and highly addictive imo. If you're looking to get it and can think outside of the box in regards to puzzles then go for it. Nabacular Drop, an indy title released in 2005 was the precursor to Portal. You can download it here.

It really depends on your tastes. If you like puzzle games then this should take your fancy, the challenges and advanced levels require a certain amount of thought. The lack of longevity however, might not satisfy you if you're looking for a puzzle game.

On the other hand if, like me, you are interested in it for it's story then I can tell you that it's fantastic! The characters and objects are fascinating and the plot is incredibly funny.

I've played it through twice and loved it both times!

I found that getting between levels was very long winded. However I enjoyed the game play and the puzzle aspect of it but there certainly should be more levels.

It is certainly a unique game that has inspired loads of clones. Including my favorite, Portal: the flash version.

I got it for £3.49 of Steam, best £3.49 I have spent in a while, I loved the game, sure it was not too long, and you only played it once, but the one time you did play it was amazing fun, well worth a few quid!

10/10, and I won't say that about a lot of games

I thought it was great fun, though not as amazing IMO as everyone hyped it up to be.

Felt a bit ripped off after I finished it having spent nearly 20quid on it
