Ok pps, this post is the reason why i joined the overclock3d forum

Momentary i have a clevo x7200 laptop, core i7 950 desktop cpu 12gb ddr 1333 triple chanel ram, dual nvidia 460m sli, 3dmalr 2011 p score 3500, vantage 13500 p score,

samsung 128gb ssd 470 series with intel ultimate 6300 wireless cardm built in TV tunner with catv jack on the laptop and buleray reader.

I am selling this, because i want a desktop instead, I had desktops before of the laptop, but it seems to me desktop is the way to go. More customizability. And

speaking of customizability here is the build i plan on building, obviously not all in one shot, but slowly over time, meaning since i will still be having the laptop

untill i sell it.

Speaking of customizability the build is centered around the most versatile case on the planet, a Case Labs Case.

Only the transport alone is 140 USD from USA to Germany, but hey its tottaly worth it.

1)Caselabs T10, Wanted intialy STH10, but believe it or not, i dont have where to put it in the small apartement i live hahahaha....

2)Asrock x79 Extreme 11 Maiboard. Isnt out yet

3)Core i7 3820, the quad core model. More than enough, cheaper than 3770k, and allmost similar performance. Will be replaced with ivi bridge extreme 8 core cpu in the

distant future.

4)64 gb ddr 3 1600 ram in 8 stick, that will be cooled with the Ram-33 watercooling blocks, as seen here in the picture http://koolance.com/sliding-180-degree-u-

connector?path=0_62_101.

What specific model, i haven found yet, i still need to find a quality ram 8gb per stick without heat spreader or with removable heatspreader with 1600 frequency.

Here i sont know wheter is better to get a full 64 kit, or if it makes no difference if i get a 8gb stick 8 times. For instance this one

http://www.crucial.com/store/partspecs.aspx?IMODULE=BLS8G3D1609DS1S00

5)2 ODD bays, a high end 120gb disc writer and a normal evey day use blueray reader.

6)2 SSd, one for OS, one for games

7)10x4TB hitachi hdd, wich will be bough slowly in time. This is possible since the motherboard has 14 sata ports.

8)http://usbtips.com/magic-pro-dual-use-usb-3-0-hub/ i allready have.

9)THe best video card of all. Zotac geforce 640. WIll be replaced later with geforce 685 SLI water cooled

10)Monitor. The asus 27 inch 3d monitor that comes with nvidia 3d vision 2 glases. Wanted a 120hz display, and since it might as well have 3d vision support, thats why

a choose asus.

Water cooling>

I plan the following

1)Koolance RP-452X2 Dual 5.25in Reservoir as reservoir

2)2 PMP 450 Koolance pumps in the reservor.

These will be set in redundance mode, serial

3)Cpu block>Either the Koolance CPU-370 Water Block or the with pump integrated Apogee Drive II cpu water cooling block

4)Water cooled ram as shown in the picture above

5)Video cards will be watercooled also, i only have to wait for them to be launched

Tubing i have decided perhaps on the Tygon 3603 10+3+3=16 dimension, thats the 3/8 inner and 5/8 outer inch diameter

Radiators one 120.3 one 120.2 one 120.1 fitted inside the case

Not sure if i should include in the loops flowmeters, quickdisconnect couplings or any other such accesories.

Case>

Here is how the stuff is gonna sit in the case

For those of you who are not familiar with the case im getting here is the web page with descriptions. Why Caselabs ? Becauase so far as i have seen, they make the

most customizable cases on the market. You can litterally build it according to needs>

http://www.caselabs-store.com/magnum-t10-case/

1)Powersource side

Here Up will sit a drive cage that will accomodate 4 hdd

Beneath will be a 120.3 radiator mount

Beneath radiator mount will be another hdd cage that will take 4hdd, togther with the enermax platimax 1500 W power supply wich have exaclt 14 sata power connections

Beneath those will be another hdd mount cage

Inside on of the 3m5inch hdd slot that is inside one of these cages will be a ssd mount, so putting 10 3,5" hdd and 2 2.5" ssd in these 3 hdd cages will leave one spot

free.

On top will be 3x120mm fans beneath the vented top

2)Motherboard side

Here will sit the motherboard

In the 120mm spot that sits near the I\O Ports of the motherboard will be mounted an 120.2 radiator holded in place by one 120m fan mounted on one side, since the case

is so tall i think it will fit.

3)5.25 bays>

1)USB hub

2)ODD 1

3)ODD 3

4)NZXT aperture M card reader

5)Sentry MX. 6 fan controller

6)Sentry MX. 6 fan controller

7)Sentry MX. 6 fan controller

8)Koolance reservoir

9)Koolace reservoir

10)CTR-SPD24X2 Dual 24V Pump Controller

11,12,13)Here will sit a mount that will fit a 120.1 mm radiator, hopefully it will fit in 3 flex bays with the buldge on the side.

3 Fans on top in the motherboard side

Fans>

6 Fans on top

6 Fans on the 120.3 radiator push pull

3 Fans on the 3 hdd cages

2 Fans on the 120.2 radiator

1 fan on the 120.1 radiator

Total 18 x 120mm fans

3 Controllers times 6 fans each. Perfect !

Here comes the hard part.

How the hell do i connect the whole bunch to the power source ?? There has to be some convertor, i havent looked, maybe you guys can help me out here

I have 2 options for the fans, either get the top of the line performance wise Noctua NF-F12 PWM that has an Acoustical Noise 22,4 dB or get the Noctua NF-S12B ULN Fan that has an Acoustical Noise 6,8 dBm it is barely audible.

Im making this consideration because there are going to be 18 fans in the case. And since i live in a single room with the wife, a turbine kind of PC is noit going to be good. Allthought i have heard from review that the top of the line noctua fan, the NF F12 is silent too.

The question is now if the ultra low noise fans on the radiators will be enough to cool the water ! Thats another thing to be taken in consideration, and i have got absolutetly no clue as to wheter they will be enought or not.

I will be playing Diablo III and i will be downloading all the internet.

Cheers !

sounds interesting, a little concerned about fan overkill and think that nothing will make it "quiet" and maybe the psu is a little OTT as well (i might be wrong with all the proposed hardware additions though)

but nothing beats some pictures, so hope you will post the build log

unfortunately i am no expert on watercooling so someone else will have to comment on that side of things.

Total overkill for playing Diablo 3

But who am I to talk...

I've got the Caselabs T10 myself and it is literally awesome. The best way to get all the pumps, fans, Hdds, twin GPUs etc attached to power is to get two smaller PSUs then split the power between each. Ideal since the case supports dual PSUs (which by the way I'd recommend you get the PSU brackets for).

I've got one PSU which feeds the CPU, mobo and 1 GPU.

The second PSU feeds the 2nd GPU, HDDs/SSD and fan controller and all the other little things.

Then all you need is a twin PSU adapter to get them to switch on at the same time. I bought this very model from this supplier about a month ago and it works perfectly http://www.ebay.co.u...2#ht_755wt_1396.

For now the video card will be the geforce 640 2gb zotac. WIll be waiting the GK110 GPUs to appear, namely the geforce 685.

The geforce 640 will play diablo in full hd between 40 and 50 fps or something, that otta be good enough for now.

Will be gettin the twin 685 because i will be aiming at 120 constant fpsm thats why the monitor.

I thought the platimax 1500 PSU otta be enought for all of this stuuf. Or am i wrong ? It does have 14 sata connections and 10 6+2 pin connections and mostly the video setup will be taking 4 and at most 6m because there are 2 6+2 per card, at least i think.

Now im going in holiday and when im coming will be orderingthe case

I might have found a way to connect all the fans, and which fans i should need.

I was thinking on the following

radiator 120.3

3xNF-F12 PWM push - high performance

3xNF-S12B ULN pull - ultra low noise

radiator 120.2

2xNF-F12 PWM push - high performance

radiator 120.1

1xNF-F12 PWM push - high performance

rest

NF-S12B ULN pull - ultra low noise

9xNF-S12B ULN pull - ultra low noise

Total:

6High Performance

12Low Noise Fans

The problem is the following

The NF-F12 PWM has a so called 4-pin PWM connector

The NF-S12B ULN has a so called 3 pin connector.

I have found the following site that sells cables, they seem high quality and just look at the following calbe types:

http://www.nanoxia-world.com/kabel.html

Normaly, 2 of these babies would do the jobs:

http://www.nanoxia-world.com/kabel/3-pin-molex-9x3-pin-adapter-60cm.html

but i dont know what to say about the high performance model that uses the 4 pin connector.

Did I read that right, your getting 40TB worth of hdds!?!? Even assuming your running then in raid thats 20TB, what the hell are you storing!?!
