So, just submitted first iOS App to the store [now live]

Working with another company for a client locally, just submitted it to the App Store for approval.. anyone else done this, I'm biting my nails in anticipation!!

Been working on it for like 2 months and it's nice to finally have it up, it's my first venture into objective-c and iOS, there's an Android counterpart app being developed by our part-timer here at work so that'l be around soon.

Have to say, it feels good to be at the end of the road on this one.. *phew*

I can't say what it is yet, once it's up on the App Store (hopefully passes the review process and goes live on the 14th Oct) I'll let you know so you can take a look.

Just wanted to say YEAY I'm chuffed :)

Congrats, SuB. I started writing an app for parsing XML, but never finished. I really should pick that up again.

Gratz SuB, I just started learning C yesterday at Uni, I wish to have my own app one day (probably Android hehe), I already have a good foundation on Java so it shouldn't be that hard getting used to C.

Congrats Sub, not the easiest task to achieve without prior training.

Oh, I see you must be new to C

Haha I know they are very similar, but not exactly the same, the only thing I got by now is that println in java becomes printf in c. Also I don't seem to be able to set up MinGW and eclipse on my machine -.- anyway rant over, don't want to hijack this thread.

I was referring to the fact that C isn't massively like Java *cough* crap. C++ is more similar - but it's not managed. Definitely easier going from C++ to Java than vice versa IMO. Anyway had to clarify my point /end hijack

congrats man!! i havent written anything since quick basic, when i was 14 or 15 and a bit of VB.net few years ago

Thanks guys :) pretty chuffed ! Fingers crossed it gets through! Don't get me wrong it's nothing special like, but it's an app and I made it :P

As for Android, Java is the way for that dude.

Cheers Shaun, as I say it's nothing special just kind of a book made into a slightly more interactive app.. It's still awaiting review, fingers still crossed tentatively!

Well guys, here she is this is the iOS version that I did (all by myself! :P)
Referencing Handbook: Harvard - iPhone and iPad

And this is the android port that was done by another guy we go in :)

Referencing Handbook: Harvard - Android Phone

Referencing Handbook: Harvard - Android Tablet

(Pretty sure there's still some device testing to do with android but it's on there so I'm happy!)

Like I say, it's nothing special, myself and the company I work for aren't even credited :P (just one of those deals). But I'm immensely proud to say I've done it, and it's my first venture into proper software and it's actually ON a store :) Can't even begin to tell you how cool that feels.

Anyway I'm glad this one's over with :P Cheers guys.

That's awesome Sub just downloaded it myself for Android. It may come in handy for my final year at Uni.
