now this looks nice I think we will have some true performace increase, btw is it only ddr3 boards they are releasing or are they doing ddr2 versions?

When I look at the Nehalem architecture it just screams AMD - The QPI interface is very similar to the HT link and the fact that memory controller is integrated into the CPU itself.

It makes me wonder if AMD had not gone down the whole "Native Quad Core" path...

the memory controller is in the cpu? wow would this be faster or would it put more load on the cpu?

It saves the CPU having to go through the northbridge to get to the RAM so it should be faster however whether the difference will be noticable to the eye or not is another thing...

It says Nehalem isn't going to much better than Penyrn when it comes to games.

Me, I'm going to hold off until the 32nm shrink of Nehalem arrives to even remotely consider an upgrade. 2009 is the date Intel give afaik...

The prices will be bad at the start too its best to hold of for the moment until they put down prices when they come out
