Havn't you gone from 2GB to 1?

Nope always been on 1Gb.. :)

I am not using onboard sound either.. :(

Bit before I used to get less than on blue thing and then done.. now its 15.. :(

Hmm, overclocked yet? I noticed a longer boot time moving to c2d, but i put it down too going from 2gb too 1. Overclocking then brought it nearly back up too speed.

Nope not yet.. but come on... Moving from AMD64 3800+ x2 to e6400 is a huge jump.

How could it of slowed down?

Everything else is awesome, so ever so fast..

Boot just takes an age. :(

Your X2 was overclocked remember ;) .

I honestly dk what it is, but it does take longer. Maybe its too do with the plug n play OS options or the windows drivers for intel being larger. Im just speculating now.

Still tring to figure this bast out.. :(

Could it be becasue my Harddrives are IDE and my CD/DVD drive is sata?

I have tried everything.. different Drivers.. stock bios... disabled sata.. Whats going on? :(

lol that's so backwards :p IDE hd's and SATA opticals, that's just lol :D

Get yourself some SATA2 drives, SCSI drives, or some SAS drives :) Those ought to bring u back up to speed.

In all reality, probably won't give you that huge of a difference on your boot times, might knock off a few seconds (possibly 5-10) depending on how fast ur IDE drives are. You'll notice a pretty fair increase of program/game load times though.

I'd deffo upgrade, IDE hard drives are archaiccccccc :p

It is just I used these harddrives before on my old system and they where awesome..

My boot time used to be like 15seconds..

Not it takes 2mins.

Vista doesn't even take 2 mins to load on my comp... R u exaggerating or does it really take a FULL two minutes??
