i set up both my cards, the 640mb in the top slots

320mb in the bottom slot. iinstaleld the bridge, in bios set everything to dual monitor, and SLI enable

but nothing shows up in windows as SLI. i installed the newest drivers too, no help.

plzz!! Lol thanks!

Hello matey! :)

I told you all this on MSN, but ill tell you again!

320Mb has to be in the primary slot, otherwise it will think both cards have 640mb.

Then you need to do the coolbits tweak.. guide can be found here.

Good luck!

Come back here if you need more help. ;)

I won't be home till about 1ish, so catch me on MSN then onwards!

Hey thanks alot, i have tried that but still it doesnt work :S

tried all the guides i have seen, with teh 320 in the top slot, no lucl :(

why have you set dual monitor in bios? are you using 2 monitors?

you might need the coolbit reg edit to activate sli, i'm sure i just right clicked nvidia manager (next to the time in toolbar) and turned it on, restarted and pow, it worked.

XP or vista?

Have you set SLI mode in the bios? I remember there being a setting for single or dual cards.

Ermm, Powersupply?

But you must have the coolbits reg key otherwise it won't work. :)

thanks for help

MY PSU can handle it, i can see it in device manager/everest/and gpu-z/rivatuner

i have the coobits registry thing in, and in the bios it is set to dual graphics cards, and everyother SLI thing is set to to auto/sli

im using one monitor, im under vista home premium 64bit. hoping to fix this, or i guess sell the card? thanks alot!

how do i flash the bios of my EVGA 640mb Superclocked to EVGA 320mb Superclocked?

I am willing to do that..

As said above it is possiable to do with software.

If you really want the performance move back to XP and give it ago! ;)

If then it doesn't work.. then you can consider bios flashing.

8800gts 640mb in slot1, the 320mb in slot 2, and connect the monitor cable to slot 2.

Sorry matey.. that would give you some nice BSODs! :)

Trust me.. I have done SLIing with two cards with different memory sizes before.

You have to have the smaller memory size in slot 1 otherwise you are just asking for that blue screen.

Usually a bluescreen about memory locations. Like it is trying to find the other 320Mb of ram on the second card. This is why you have to have the smaller in the primary. So then it thinks both are 320.

Darkorb, keep us posted matey!

i havent found anything on bios flashing

i tried the 6640 in the top slot first, and 320 in sceond, no SLI, then other way around, no luck

im dont no what to do :(

should i install the new hotfix from microsoft and try it?

It that with both cards in? Dunno if Its tuned for SLI. Or vista for that matter.

But tbh unless somethings radically changed i cant see why it wouldn't work. But then this is Microsoft i spose...

Edit: iirc Also NVFlash lets you copy the old bios. NiBitor is only essential for editing, if you can get the bios form the one you want you can do it all though NVflash (in theory at least)
