I know looking at the stats SLi is better, but of course its better its 2x cards. But 1v1 I know the ATI is much better (this is stats)..... then I thought of getting 2x BFG 256MB 6800GT's with a DFI SLI-D and OCZ VX 1GB but then loads of people said theve had problems with DFI and I shudent buy it..... so im a bit stuck?

what do u guys think ATI or SLi?

The sli....and it's runs better with one card...since you're going ATI...I dunno what to tell you...a 6800GT does real justice all-by-itself!!!!(All-in-wonders!!!)

I personally like nvidia's 6800 series lineup, but that's me.

I have this spec:

AMD 64 3200 Venice now @ 2.6GHz (just started OC'ing today :o mind it is only a day old!! ;) )

Club 3d 6800GT PCI-E

DFI LANPARTY SLi-D

OCZ Platinum Rev 2 PC3200 DDR400 (running 1:1 @ 2.5-3-3-7)

Crossfire will be good, but not for at least a few months and SLi is looking good already...so you have the choice:

Wait till ATi get it sorted and release all their shit and get it 100% glitch free

Get SLI on two of the best vid cards on the market :worship:

i suggest SLi. there is still no official release date of crossfire..no guarenteed motherbords...no official benchmarks...onyl what was shown at computex.

As of now, SLi dominates the dual card market as there are no competitors... ATi is the way to go if u wanna have a dominant single card computer (x850xtpe).

Once ATi officially releases and support widens for Crossfire I have little doubt that it's going to rock the socks off of SLi.

In agreeance with previous posts here....SLI all the way mate, at least until ATI's crossfire solution has been supported and is glitch free :)

ok will do get SLi then....btw wats the best motherboard for SLi .... b4 u say DFI i know they have had ALOT of problems so theve put me off completely I was thinking the ASUS looks good??

ASUS <- :worship:

I concur :)

Also, why is Xfire saying I have played CS:S for 6 hours.. then 2 hours.. then 6 hours.. It can't make up its mind!

Ok this is quoted from a person I no, that KNOWS that DFI are having MAJOR problems with RAM.

"my dfi just doesnt start due to my OCZ ram, this is because they have had major problems with there RAM including OCZ

(me) So you what other motherboard would you buy if you had a second chance?

"Asus defiantly I hate my dfi i have to wait for it to start, i must have to start it about 10 times at least and usally it just powers of after a few seconds. Dont buy dfi i regret it unthough this problem only effects 1/15 people it is still really annoying"

How can you give me bad advice?? Your trying to make me bancrupt so I dont have l33t pc's like u lot arent u?

yes admittedly...dfi are having major probs with ram..but it is rare...just as |3ourne..he known everything.

it is mainly user error and dfi have the greatest customer service. i men go look at www.dfi-street.com.

the problem is known however i ave no doubt thatit will be fixed and the people who do have dfi boards working correctly love em....just ask kempez, frag and xms.

ok dave thanks alots, i might consider DFI again. Btw which graphics is better i no the BFG has a lifetime warrenty and also the XFX has loads of extra 3.0 and 2.0 things so im not really sure.

Rgr that! My fuckin board loved my TCCD OCZ ram right out of the box with the stock BIOS and only continued to run better after upgrading to a TCCD modded BIOS.

Love it!!! :worship: DFI :worship:
