single gtx 260

hi all

looking to put some water on my 260 but not sure which way to go.

currently i have a XSPC RS360 on my q6600 at 3.3 ghz with an XSPC Delta V3 and a XSPC X2O 400 Pump, i also have a XSPC RS120 that i will be adding to the loop when i get it done.

so what would you suggest to cool my gpu to go with that lot?

if i went with a Razor GTX260 would that be all i need or would i need a ram backplate as well, this is where i am getting a little confused.

also would there be anything i could put on it that would be able to move on to any new gpu i get, as the Razor GTX260 would be only suitable to use with the 260

Hey

You could use the XSPC GTX 260 block.

It's a full card block so it cools ram as well as GPU so no need for added ramsinks.

Alas with cards different layouts full cover blocks are not cross compatible with other cards, ie 8 series....

Have always had very good expereince with the EK full cover blocks, excellent looks and build quality plus you can have an acrylic top, you can buy them at watercooling uk

ya i have to say ek is a very nice company they make solid blocks and u can get them in copper or nickle plated copper the only draw back is the price tag, but with computers u get wat u pay for

hmm although i do like the look of the acrylic top, i really dont see the point as you really cant see it very much if at all

i'd go with an ek full cover block mate got mine for my gtx 280 this week and its stunning, alot thinner than the 8 series block can't wait to get it fitted but waiting on the ram backplate at the minute

hmmm, i thought you didnt need a ram back plate with a full cover block

the "full cover" only applies to the front of the block the ram on the back is covered by a passive plate to dissapate any heat the ram generates

yeah the ram backplate is for the back of the card since there is ram on both sides of the pcb, i imagine you could use ramsinks but i wanted the sleeker looking backplate
