Silverstone RVZ01 Insanity

Hello!
I haven't been very active on the forums but I have been busy with a build that is nearing the final stages, It has taken most of the year and ALOT of planning and preparation and many failures, leaks and broken acrylic!

I wanted to build a unique system that I could be proud of in a very small form factor ITX case. It had to be with rigid acrylic tubing and still manage to look very clean through a window with a clear view of components. I wanted to avoid the mess of wires and components that usually plagues ITX builds.

It has been a bit of a money sink and I have a ton of spare fittings now from configurations that failed...

So here are the specs:

Hardware
Cpu: Intel i7 4790
Gpu: Evga gtx970 superclocked
Mobo: Gigabyte GA-B85N Phoenix
SSD: Crucial M500 240~ gb MSATA
PSU: Silverstone ST45SF-G

Watercooling Components
Cpu Block: Ek Clean CSQ clear copper
Gpu Block: EK Nickel Plexi fc970
Reservoir: Aquacomputer aqualis eco 100ml res (this was the ONLY res I could find that would fit this build)
Flow monitor: Bitspower flow meter black
Temp monitor: Bitspower g1/4 matte black temp sensor
Radiator: XSPC Ex240
Cooling controller: Aquacomputer Aquaero 5 LT
Fittings: various bitspower fittings (Koolance 90 degree low profile fittings were necessary for the radiator with 0mm of clearance to the GTX970 sitting above the rad)
Tubing: EK 12mm Acrylic
Coolant: Ek orange

Right now the Watercooling loop is finished but the Case mods have only just started a friend of mine has convinced me to start the build log for this section.

things to do so far:
Install a window into the side panel. [Not Done]
Fabricate new outer cover for top, bottom and front panels to replace the ugly ass silverstone design (whoever came up with that should be shot)
Custom cables [maybe, I haven't sleeved or crimped cables before]

This is also my first watercooled computer and I wanted to do something unique, I am by no means an experienced modder and it has all been a learn as you go project.

This is my first build log too so any advice or 2x4's to the head are welcome!

PICS!

Leak testing! apologies for the ghetto setup and yes the is a teapot I used to fill the res with coolant the sprout was the only thing i had handy that could do it! The pump is running on an external PSU so no components are powered up.

I am still thinking on whether to replace the bent piece going from the CPU block to the res with a 90 and 45 degree fitting but overall pretty happy with the look so far

This is very cool bud. Good work so far :)

Thanks Barnsley!

Small update I've sent my outer casing designs to be laser cut and bent from 3mm aluminum, I can't get the light on the anti vandal switch to light up, its wired correctly to the motherboard though does anyone have experience with these switches?

After some testing it seems that all the 90 degree bends are pushing the pump pretty hard, Its a swiftech mpc 350. I'm probably going to replace it with mcp 35x so I can use the pwm control on the aquaero 5.

Stay tuned for more!
