Silver Bullet Antimicrobial

As long as your system has no nickle in in that can work... Don't know if that specific product is what TTL was talking about (doubt it) but once again, just make sure there is no nickle in your system... Some other WC products have silver in them for this purpose and it does a decent job of distributing heat... Thats probably what he was talking about...

Dye doesn't clog your loop, it will stain your parts though.

Depending what coolant you are using you may not need any extra additives, if the coolant is a pre-mix it will already have biocide and anti corrosive additives in it. If it's a non pre-mix then you will need some biocide and or a silver coil.

Silver Bullet Antimicrobial are a placebo they do not work. they do not give off enough silver ions to ever work.

Nope !!!! They take two weeks with 2 kill coils per 1 Ltr to give any sort of protection, At best after 1 month you have bare min protection. At 3 months you have good protection ... If you what silver protection take you Kill coils and make a collide out of them. Then you will have protection.

In not here to say wich is the best protection but im old school and prefer a liquid biocide and all ways have done.

Sounds good.

A.) Can liquid Biocides cause any corrosion, or have adverse reactions with corrosion additives?

B.) What are your recommendations for the best Biocide and best Corrosion additive?

A.) No, they are designed not to...

B.) I prefer Mayhem http://www.performan...oducts_id=34085

With your setup you really don't need anything in the corrosion protection area because you have all copper and no nickle. As long as all you use is deionized H[sub]2[/sub]O and a biocide you are good to go.

Doesn't copper iodize and turn from gold to green and look tarnished? Isn't that the reason why they coat in nickle? Why aren't more blocks nickle plated (aside from price)?

nope they coat it in nickle so there penis looks bigger. thats the only reason ...

agreed

Edit: And Copper doesn't usually iodize it oxidizes... All your Oxygen atoms are combined with Hydrogen so It won't oxidize unless you are pumping mostly air XD... Well unless you use tap water... That can cause mild corrosion depending on whats in it... So, once again DEIONIZED H[sub]2[/sub]O!!!

*oxidize, yes, that is what I meant, haha. It was late and I didn't want to double check my chemistry terms. Makes sense that it won't oxidize if the air can't get to it.

Yes, I'm new to the water cooling game, but I am 100% aware that I need to use Demonized H20. =)

Thank you all for the help!

I wouldn't use demonized water, you don't want little demons in your loop
