I accidentally deleted my 'recycle bin' when I went to delete a file I threw in it. Anyone know how to get it back? Using Windows Vista Home Premium.

Right Click on Desktop and click on Personalise, Then look at the top left of the window that opens and click on Change Desktop Icons and finally make sure that Recycle Bin is checked in the new window that appears and click Apply and OK.

I *think* when u delete it on desktop, it just deletes the link to it.

I`m almost sure. So doing the PV thang should just get u`r link back.

What 'Powertool' exactly are you talking about, Kemp? (I got one, but it doesn't help with Vista )

(Incidentally, I ran across the 'fix' PV told me how to find when I wanted IE on my desktop without the little 'shortcut' arrow-icon couple weeks ago... didn't know it was where the Recycle Bin was located also. )

Bah read it wrong...no Powertools released for Vista yet - i meant XP.

I don't have my recycle bin on the desktop - I have it on the sidebar
