Sharing Dialup over Wireless

I know I know, before I get flamed, my email wont be up till next month. So i have a wireless network and my little laptop with its trusty dial up connection.

Anyway to share this easily? Ive tried ICS but to no avail. Iknow im missing something simple here but Im bereft of ideas

Can you connect it via a LAN cable and bridge the connection?

I didnt know you could bridge a dial up and network connection. BTW, what does bridging do? (Sorry to jack the thread sort of, still useful information)

Any way you can setup the lappy to be an ADHOC network host? This should allow you to share the connection.

Sometimes ICS is just a

tbh, but like frag said it sounds like you need an ad-hoc network.
