Got my NZXT 410 phantom today (black) the hdd activity light dont work, the power led dont work and the fan controller when set to medium makes a horrific buzzing, whining noise. Two of the clips that hold the power button and the led's were broken like someone had just jammed it on. WTF happened to quality control not a happy chappy. In fact im well peed off maybe I should have put this in rants ARRRGGGHHH

blaming NZXT for this is wrong mate. In no way can you be 100% certain it came from them that way. the blame should start with who you bought it from as well as the courier service used. Alot of times shipping takes a toll on cases. Sometimes shit happens and you may of accidently gotten a returned case someone mistook as new. NZXT has top notch products and customer service. Instead of flaming why not contact first the seller then NZXT if the seller wont do anything.

im sure NZXT didnt mean that to happen, all sound like issues with delivery, a bit of knock here and there and such things could happen, the fact is cases arent that very sturdy and can be easily damaged, id just RMA it and maybe get on the phone with them and moan for 30mins and they might give you a freebie or something

Wasnt damaged in transit clips were not even in the holes they were spread out either side and only clipped in on the left. As for the leds they just dont work at all. Have since had a look on google which I should have done before and the fan controller noise is a known issue. Have emailed them to ask for replacement parts which I know they will send, yes they do have good customer support. I know this as I have had a M59 case before which came missing its feet which were replaced still took nearly a month to come though. Should have better QC in the first place im still waiting for another bloody RMA this time from corsair after my SSD died 3 weeks for that too bad month for me and pc parts I guess. Just peed off.

mate I owned and operated a shipping center for 9 years trust me when I say this, its inconceivable what damages can occur during shipping. Things that look like no way this happened by bad handling actually do. I packed 90-95% of the shipments that went out of my store. And I know how well I packed everything and the claims I have had to file because of mishandling while rare did happen. And just because the box wasnt busted up dont mean things didnt get shook loose while it was in transit. I can drop a box in such a way that it doesnt mess up the box but the insides are trashed. Shit happens.

What I am saying is you went about this wrong. Instead of say shame on you NZXT you should of said Hey NZXT I have a problem with a case of your I just bought can ya help me get it sorted. Pointing the finger of blame only starts shit and puts others on the defensive. Simply put no way to acertain with 100% certanty where it went bad.

Yeah your right i guess just miffed spent ages transferring my gear into it and leak testing my loop will get it sorted out after the weekend will see what ebuyer/NZXT say.

RMA, RMA and RMA again till stuff is right... if they don't want to RMA then find out who the supervisor is and give them a call. If you get it broken send it back and make them figure out where the kink was in the line...

trust me I know full well how miffed one can get when something goes wrong. Been there as well.

Yeah hopefully you will be able to get this sorted ASAP. But I must say nzxt and especially Retell has been absolutely amazing at replacing a part I needed, deffo give them a shout if you haven't already.

Even if it is NZXTs quality control that let it slip, you just can't catch them all.

I understand what a lame situation it is for you though Malarky.

I hope your RMA process will be as short and painless as possible.

the manufacturer does want to hear this (other than a public forum) that possible the shipping package is

too dense and not forgiving for a rough ride to absorb massive g-shocks. and if do have this or similar

issues they can restratigize the shipping container to offset the difficulties in the end-user behalf.

ive seen reviewers review the shipping container as they seem to deem this an important step in getting

product (in one-piece) for the long journey from the factory. and in the end, cost vs customer satisfaction

is a key concern.

I am going to be honest here and this is just MY OPINION. I think ALL NZXT cases are cheap and flimsy. I was playing with the nzxt switch the other day at frys and it just feels like cheep plastic and flimsy, aesthetically they are nice but severely lack in build quality (that last part is a fact). I also own a phantom, and that is by far one of the most poorly created cases I have ever owned. and I have owned some doozy antec cases.

To be honest, this isn't an issue that I've heard come up on any other forum. It does sound like someone may have been trying to play rugby with your new case. You'd be amazed at some of the things I've seen over the years working at other companies. One time I had a custom filing cabinet packed in the warehouse and sent out to a customer. When it arrived, there was no damage to the box, but the whole thing filing cabinet was mangled and twisted inside. Drawers wouldn't open, there was a massive dent where 7" of packing supported it, and the lock had been dislodged and fell into the cabinet somewhere.

Needless to say, I'm sorry that you recieved your case that way. If the shop you ordered it from gives you any hassle let me know. They should replace it with free shipping both ways.

I have been saying this for the last year lol, nice to see that someone agrees with me

Fan controller noise is a known issue and they have sent out loads of replacements to lots of people. Im now awaiting mine hopefully not take too long.
