got a power colour 780g mobo (ati 3200 onboard with hdmi)

4400x2 or 5200x2 cpu

60gb 2.5" sata hdd

2gb of 6400 ram

next question if i wanted to have it remote controll what would i need ??

You might need a bigger HD than the current one mate. Recording TV takes up large chunks of HD space. The hauppage cards with the remotes are good ones. I have two dual tuners in my HTPC and they work great. I use the Windows MCE remote though, and the MCE keyboard too.

Antec Veris is a nice bit of kit, I have the 2 slot one and its great fun!. For CPU cooler if your case is low profile like my media centre one is, I went for some Zalman cooler, 7500? I hyave no idea, but it fits and cools nicely. My 4200+ can do most things to I imagone your 4400+ can too, and it will throw out less waste heat than the 5200+
