Serious or Fun?

Guys, I just wanna know how you feel about the SX Clan?

Are we going to do this as a serious thing, which would mean:

* More training/playing 5v5

* Less of the tacticless pub games

* SX Clan Website with Stats

* Our own IRC Channel

* Registering for a league such as EnemyDown

* Going to tournaments (if we ever get good).

Or are we just having fun, and going to continue playing our 'friendly' style clan matches?

I wanna get heaps better, but I doubt I'll ever play clan matches with my Northern hemisphere buds Aussie ping puts me out of that league.

You'll have to start up your own Aussie branch of the SX clan, recruiting the best Australian players and making a name for yourselfs

Then when we make it to the big conventions (hehe) we'll pick the best players from both the AUS and UK/US teams - lol

There is no reason why being in a league still can't mean fun, but what is the point in being in a league if you arn't going to try to do well?

And if you are going to try to do well, then IMO it requires the clan do do more practice sessions and less public pwnings.

I voted for serious... I think if we got better and played some league matches that would be completely awesome.

I'm all for it, what about you guys? I think we should have a uniform practice schedule at least 2 times a week with some people from pro clans that could really up our "A" game.

Yes I am, that's exactly the reason I never made any matches against anyone. I didn't want to leave anybody out of them, because of times/pings. Then Dave decided to set the first match and decided to say "Sorry aussies you can't play". Now the whole thing seems to be totally out of my hands.

well whats the point of a clan without matches? yeah the time zones suck, but i didnt think that shd stop us playing at all.

you are mor ethan welcome to make your own aussie matches, recruit some players like we have etc etc.

im sorry you ping so high, but imo it shdn tstop the rest of us having fun....thats all it is..having fun. i said in the first post that if we went "serious" it will stil be fun to me.
