Sempron 2500+ s754 overclocking

winX

New member
ok.. I bought a new mobo FoxxConn/WinFast with current Bios updates (yeay!)

I got the stock AMD Sempron clock from 1440 MHz to 1623.8MHz but I hear it can go faster. now the multiplier is locked @ 7  , but this is as fast as it'll go. I heard it can get to 2.1 GHz but i may have to change voltage settings (which I CANT do from bios)

I'm running Samsung PC3200 DDR 400 Ram (with heatspreader), and a 350W PSU (Aopen).

I'm not getting too far on the AMD forums: http://forums.amd.com/index.php?showtopic=58365

Thanks for your help!!!!

just because one semprn goes to 2.1ghz doesnt meant yours will, but we will try ;)

the info we need to know is FSB, and vcore.

have you tried upping the vcore?

take a look at the amd section of the forum and read up on a few of the guides.

and feel free to ask netin :D

It may be that the board doesn't allow you to adjust the VCORE in the BIOS which means: yes it isn't the best overclocking board (well: pretty shite) ever...

If you can do that you will get higher.... :)

the memory statz are thus:

freq: 180.4

FSB:DRAM: CPU/9

CAS# latency: 2.0

RAS# to CAS# delay: 4 clks

RAS# precharge: 2 clks

Tras: 9

Bank cycle: 12

DRAM idle timer: 16 clks

Download CPU-Z and give us screenies of memory page, front page and motherboard page mate: would be much better :)

Host it here:

and wrap it in
tage :)

Ouch mate... Asus and SiS don't mix in the overclocking world.

DFI and nF4 do though :D Wait, you have a 754 Sempy. Ok... DFI and nF2/3 then :D
