I play allot of games with my friends over weekends, and I’m constantly lugging my PC around. Once Filtration is finished I wont be able to move it so I thought I would purchase a nice Mx11. Then I realised I don’t really want to spend £1000 on something that wont be my main PC, and will be out of date in a few years. So what’s the answer? A PC that is completely Self Contained and easy to lug around and upgradable. I want a PC I can pick up and move as easy as a laptop. So I thought I would build a PC with an inbuilt screen and space for mouse and KB to go inside. I wanted the box to be as small and as light as possible so I chose a 15” screen. Luckily my stand in PC for Filtration was a M-ATX board so I’m using all that hardware and i have 2x 15” screens lying around so it wont cost me a penny... Well only about £50 in materials... and maybe another £20 if i get in powder coated but I’m going function over form here, so don’t expect everything to be pretty, this PC is being built to suite a purpose.
So the box will be 350mm x 300mm x 210mm and will be everything needed for a gaming session.
Something else which is quite lucky the monitor i will be using has built in speakers and a headphone jack
Ill be putting these in for sure!
Ok here is a shot of how everything slots together.
I took this from my old case, on off reset and lights. Looks really nice and perfect for making sure it does not get to hot in there!
I modded the PSU today so it can power the monitor as well.
Here are som Dims - The ID-WPF-GL was going to be the project name (I don’t want to pay for a gaming laptop) haha!
This will be a very fast build. Hoping to get the Aluminium to build the box mid week. Maybe even finished this weekend.
I need it done by the 20th as im off stuck in a hotel for 5 nights alone... WOW anyone
