Hi all,
today i've upgraded my system to 4k . Got following :
i74960x oc to 4gb(turbo clock)
4x4gb kingston beast oc to 2.4ghz
sabertooth x79
intel730 480gb ssd
dell up3214q
cm 140xl water cooling
gpu: DEVIL 13 7990HD
psu is SEASONIC 1000W platinum

I would like to ask if my psu can handle this system ? I need stable pc for work, sometime i play games... but i need stable pc (not to restart and not to have bsod due bad psu)

ty in advance

hey bro,
ty very much for this chart, i found also some charts for my processor , and i think maximum usage will be 900w(cpu and gpu) , so i guess seasonic can handle it ?

cpu use 212 in powerload , clocked on 4.6 use 365( mine is on 4ghz so i guess he use less power )

on idle will work on full is going to be tight i think

Looks like you will be ok, if your PSU is a gold or platinum rated you shouldn't have any probs.
If you get the chance to grab a 1200W PSU i'd grab one to replace the 1000w one with though.

This is the 7970 based devil (not the 290 based one), so you're actually fine and not really going to push the PSU at all :).

Damn, my bad :\
I assumed it was the 290X Devil 13. In that case, 1000W is definitely enough for 2x7970.

its not 7970 , its 7990 ( dual gpu )

this is specification from site

Minimum System Power requirement (W) 850W Extention Power Connector three 8-pin PCI Express Power connectors

Your fine with a 1000watt. Your fine with an 850watt. It will never draw that much power. It would probably draw about 600watts at most. Your system might peak at 750watt total. Just keep it at a quality PSU.

A 7990 btw is a 7970. Its 2 seperate 7970s on the same PCB linked by a PLX chip.
