Hard to know what they did without they saying directly, but The Coalition did something similar for Gears of War 4 in 2017 using compression techniques, cutting down the game size by 30GB on PC.

It's pretty cool tech but I'd just love to know the nitty gritty details ^_^


I just wish they'd let us download the main part of the game and leave the multiplayer out, 100GB for 1 game is huge on a 20Mbps line XD

If you can find people/mates to play with then the game is an absolute riot. Solo'ing is fun but don't expect to be treated nicely as a noob.

The seas are vicious at the mo.

yeah just tried solo. God its boring as hell.
