Saying goodbye to my lga775 rig

Hey Everyone! New to the site but have been an avid watcher of Time To Live Customs on you tube. Some great advice on there and has inspired me to upgrade my pc.

Am selling my old setup to my cousin to aid the funding of my first own build.

He's a bit hesitant in buying as old parts (Q6600 + 8800gtx + 4gb ddr2)

Think my only let down of the rig is the MSI7357 micro atx motherboard with no overclocking or sli/crossfire features.

I want to assure him that is good buy with potential to overclock and expand to dual 8800gtx's

Where i need the advice is with a motherboard that supports these features:

:support for overclocking Q6600

:support for SLI at 16x on both ports (but 8x would be ok at pinch)

:support for min 8gb ddr2

:support for gb lan (but not essential)

Seen asus P5E but only ati compatable as far as i've researched

Would really appreciate your advice/comments.

Thank you

Wow this will dig up a few peoples fuzzy memory on their old 775 systems.

Any ways I was in a similar boat short time ago but came across a Asus P5Q Pro with a E7300 core 2 Dua CPU (no heatsink) for $60AU.

With a good heatsink the P5Q Pro will PC well but there was a P5Q Pro Turbo and this was the OCing model, Didn't personally use it but I imagine it is improved over the standard Pro model.

But you will just have to shop around, not many people sell their 775 Systems any more as it just isn't worth it as much any more and most people give them to family/friends or use them for server machines like myself.

P5Q Pro

P5Q Pro Turbo

asus p5n d would be a good option or one of the evga nf750 boards.

not so sure about that drasil, my 775 mobo sells for more today than i paid for it
