Sata 2 SSD

Ok need some advice I had a call from my mum the other day saying she could hear clicking from my old donated PC so I popped over and unfortunately one of the raptor X drives had failed so I managed to get it running long enough to back all info onto a usb but now im left with a choice 1 figure out which drive has failed and ditch it and reinstall windows on the single drive as she doesnt play many games these days lol or option 2 I ditch both drives and chuck in a decent size ssd which I would prefer to do but being as its only sata 2 what options do I have.

any SSD will do, the sata 3 drive will be limited to sata 2 speeds about 300 mb/s.

It will work, but speeds will be limited.

I'd recommend getting something like a Crucial M4 as the speeds won't really matter anyway, and they're still some of the most reliable drives out there. You'd be able to get the cheaper than the very latest tech like the Samsung 840 Pros.

I'm sure one of the well known online stores has the sata 2 ssd's on a weekly offer this week ( can't remember which one sorry ) I had a weekly news letter emailed, but I deleted it
