Sapphire HD3870XT vs HD2900XT

Hi all... can someone help me here please? which one is the better card to go for - I have compared spec and there does not seem to be a huge amount of difference between the two apart from price - the newer card is about £90 cheaper - so out of the two which would you go for?

3870... Newer, cheaper, runs cooler, uses less power, performs as good and in places better than the 2900...

However, if you are only after a single card the 88gt is superior
