Sapphire 7950 Mac Edition.

Hey Folks,

Just spotted this. Some of you might allready know about it, but i just stumbled across it buy browsing on the Web.
I think if you peel the Mac sticker off, the card has a good potential being used in a white schemed mod.

The visible edge once in the case just says Sapphire.

Yes Fred, but i was reffering to the sticker on the top of the HS shroud.

Just was saying if anybody wondered. The other label not seen would not bother me.

Indeed some would leave it there while others would lose it. I would replace it with a nice strip of 3M black-carbon. =)

Needs flashing with a non mac bios, otherwise your gonna be stuck with pci-e 1.0 speeds..

It has an onboard bios switch to select between Mac and Windows mode. (EFI, UEFI)
And Macs support pci-e 2.0

EDIT: not really sure about the 2.0

EDIT2: Pci-e 2.0 since early 2009 if my understanding is correct...

The mac bios on the card is limited to 1.0

Seen these already, really nice looking cards. I believe they're going in the new Mac Pro when it's announced.
