Approximately 20 criminals disguised as Samsung employees invaded Samsung's Brazil factory in Campinas, Sao Paulo, stealing an estimated 36 million American Dollars, in Samsung devices.

The Hiest took place last night during the Factory night shift, where around 200 Samsung employees were held hostage while a total of 7 vans were filled with Samsung Merchandise which induced; laptops, Tablets and Smartphones.

Thankfully nobody was hurt during the hiest, but the criminals were reported to be heavily armed with submachine weaponry. During the even many of the Employees continues working as normal, but their mobile phone batteries were taken to prevent the police being called to the scene.

The Brazilian Police are currently investigating the robbery, whic is currently considered to be an inside job.

Samsung said;
We are very concerned about this incident.

Fortunately, nobody was hurt. We are fully cooperating with the ongoing police investigation, and we will do our best to avoid it happening again.

While Samsung will easily be able to recoup their losses this is a disgraceful act. I hope that those responsible do see justice here as despite the fact nobody was hurt in the incident, the robbers were obviously prepared to do so if necessary. We at OC3D wish the Brazilian Police the best of luck in their investigation and hope no similar crimes will follow anytime soon.

Why would you steal that many android devices? I guess if you plan to burn them... ;)

Surely they could just get the unique IDs for the batches of products stolen (MAC addresses etc) so that the goods are easy to track? I'll be following this :o.

Samsung probably changed some of their forums members names on them for no reason at all............. ;)

In all seriousness though south america is going to get some seriously cheap smart phones now haha

AHAHAHAHAHAAAHHHH!!!! :D EPIC!

Oh some wee nearly came out!

Apparently 40'000 devices, I guess that makes them mostly laptops with some tablets and phones. Still I think the estimates are out because I wouldn't pay $900 for anything samsung make unless it involved 4k.

But it's soo funny, I don't know how you can be mad.

I'm not giving you $900 for your monitor. If there is any electronics brand in the world which I mindlessly hate on it's Samsung, I can even find good things to say about Apple and AMD but Samsung wind me up (I know they have a part in practically everything but I mean stuff they brand as their own), even then i'd be much happier if both my 780's had SK Hynix but I guess samsung beats elpida. <(that really hurt me to say, and justify it I must imagine that Elpida consists of one korean man and a mule chipping IC's out of sandstone). It would actually pain me to sit behind a Samsung monitor all day. Hence that's why I find it really hard to believe 400'000 of their devices could be worth $36m, that's an average of $900 which is well above any of their phones and tablets which are presumably the easiest to steal. I can't recall seeing many high end Samsung laptops so it must be down to a bunch of mahoosive 4k TV's.

I'm annoyed as it's not my name and I really hate it, Wasn't any need to change it at all, It's ok having a laugh and all but not at the expense of the people who are supporting you and your brand.

In all fairness I've tested the Asus 4K and this one and apart from no speakers and a different stand I cannot notice any difference.

They do a few ultrabooks that are worth alot, their stupid phones (not tethered) can be worth about £600 and obviously their TVs.
I can see it'd be quite easy tbh.

Oh it's a completely irrational and poorly justified hatred, I didn't like my S2 it just had absolutely no quality about it at all and that's something that I think should be evident in all flagship high-end devices otherwise I can never love it. I didn't actually like anything Korean but my G2 is slowly persuading me that LG might be ok, still it's a bit tacky, shame it's so god damn awesome otherwise i'd replace it.

Maybe your right but all of the prices we see are after out 20%+ tax, you can't convert £600 straight into USD and you would think the high end devices we see would only make up a small proportion of what they are producing. It would take a lot of £1k ultrabooks to offset all of the cheap phones and tablets etc. Still I can't imagine stealing 400'000 of anything except $100 bills.

Okay time for a conspiracy theory ;) What if the robbers were hired by Apple? dun dun dun

Already went there, post #3.

My conspiracy is Samsung did it, what was it yesterday they said Q2 profits were down, there's nothing like a monumental heist to drum up some hype, classic disrupt supply and create artificial demand situation.
