Samsung Develops 16-Chip Multi-Stack Package Technology

Samsung has announced that it's developed the industry's first process to enable production of a 16-chip multi-chip package of memory. Mmmm, can anyone say higher density! Innovative technology; care to comment?

Samsung really have come on in a big way over the last decade.

I can see the day when spinning hard drives are going to be out phased in preference to something along these lines. I mean they`re already adding gig after gig to the capable sizes.

It won`t take some bright spark long to go from 16 to 32.. and on and on..
