Samsung Announces the 950 PRO Consumer M.2 PCIe SSD

Hello everyone. I would like to know how does this SSD connects into a motherboard. Can you show me a pic of the mobo connector for this SSD? I only know the SATA and IDE connectors for hard-drives, and where's the pricing list for this SSD?

Thank you very much,
best regards,
Antimorph.

I don't even know how could other brands beat Samsung in the SSD game

Samsung has an advantage on price, performance and now (thanks to 3d nand) even on endurance

Is the Z170 chipset the only one that supports M.2 PCI 3.0 x4? Or does Devil's canyon boards support that too? If not, then you only get the full potential of this drive when using a brand new system

Z97 and X99 chipsets only support 2.0 x2 but some boards will allow you to dedicate CPU PCIe lanes to the M.2 slot.

I discarded getting one for my X99 build for that reason, however it would still be faster than SATA III running off 2.0 x2 on the chipset.

SATA III - 6 Gb/s
PCI-E 2.0 x2 - 8 Gb/s
PCI-E 2.0 x4 - 16 Gb/s
PCI-E 3.0 x4 - 32 Gb/s
