i've already ordered mine, as the only difference i can see is that its the "laptop kit", but that'll just be the mounts and fixings and any decent recent case should already be able to fit the drive lol

it is when you consider this is the "laptop kit" with norton ghost.

the "basic version" without ghost and all the gubbins is still £162

and the "desktop kit" is a whopping £220

The discussion is about samsung 830series ssd's at a good price point.

Not a crucial ssd. My point is valid (albeit maybe a little aggressively).

wow, whats with the rudeness this is how things are done you posted a thread about a low price SSD he also posted another low price SSD for the amount of space on it. A lot of SSDs have dropped a tremendous amount. Honestly it isn't even a thread about a Samsung SSD it is a thread about a low priced SSD and he posted a low priced SSD all you did was say you ordered one and posted a link you didn't start talking about the performance all you said was there is also a laptop kit.

What the hell is going on? Why is the 256GB Laptop kit for £145 and the 512GB one for £491? Am I missing on something, or are the people in Samsung responsible for pricing their products missing on something? Is there any difference in the Laptop kit vs. the Desktop kit, apart from the mounting brackets etc? This seems too good to be true.. I was going to go for the 128GB one, but I might just grab this one then. Are the prices likely to drop further?
