Sabertooth X79 worth it?

So guys my GFs sister is a huge FPS MMO pc gamer and i wanted to give her an upgrade for her 21st bday

Current Rig specs:
C2Q 6600
ASUS P5G41T-M LX
4GB 1066mhz
GTX 460

She loves asus so i wanna get her an X79 asus mobo and since she doesn't clean anything i was pondering to get the sabertooth for its so call tufness or the P9X79LE?

Corsair TX650 (wont need any more power trust me)

I would also recommend getting a Z77 MB and i5 plus a better GPU. X79 is a waste unless you need a hex core, more pci-e lanes for multiple GPU or more than 32GB RAM, at least get a better GPU though.

its because my GF has an extra i7 3820.

I know the i5 2500K/3570K + $90 plus the rest and yea its good.

Its easier to sell an i5 cheaper in my country than a core i7 LGA 2011.
