The upcoming TUF series board from Asus, the Sabertooth 990FX AM3+. I liked the Thermal Shield on the p67 and don't know why they taken a step backwards to resemble the Sabertooth x58.

what do you think?

looks nice but I am wondering if that hugh heatsink on the mofsets will interfere with a D-15 as it does ever so slightly on my extreme board

Besides the HAF series, are there any military style cases that you think would suite this board?

Yeah I wasn't a fan either of the armor, I like the look of motherboard tech sexiness over the look of a black cover. And did that cover provide any real directional airflow like claimed? I figure a side case fan would cool the whole mobo better.

Well according to TTL yes if you add a 40mm fan like suggested but it cools just aswell as leaving the MB open so it;s pointless lol

Rather than start a new post I thought I'd just jack this one since we're all friends here

Gota say it's still the GA-990FXA-UD7 thats got my eye - http://www.techpowerup.com/146196/Gigabyte-GA-990FXA-UD7-Top-Tier-Socket-AM3+-Motherboard-Pictured.html

I do love the look of those UD7 boards, but they are so chuffin' expensive... I wanted the UD7 SB one but just couldn't justify the cost. I remember TTL saying in his vid that Gigabyte were treating us like adults, because all the other boards had colour schemes that could have been developed by the Early Learning Centre (kids toy shop).

The thing that upsets me about the SB-UD7 is that you can't fit two Phantoms on there and you can't fit a PCI-E sound card without knocking down the second lane to x8 (when running two graphics cards ofc). But the GA-990FXA-UD7 looks like not only can it fit two Phantoms and have them running at x16/x16 but you could get a sound card on there too.

So are you saying, you kinda want the Intel but the feature set of the AMD is better.....

Any idea how much it would cost?

No idea yet I'm afraid

Well we know the 2500K is lightning but we don't know about the new AMD's yet.

But we also know that that the SB-UD7 board layout sucks where the AMD-UD7 board looks great.

If one of the AMD's is faster then a 2500K though then it's win win
