£600 for the 8800xt or whatever they call it as i feel it'll be 9k series wouldn't surprise me. Whichever the top card is so long as its the right price and them dxr boosts are real then i could well get on day one. Thou im also intrested where the 7900xtx prices will reach on their launch cause if the dxr boosts are not drastic the 7900xtx is very viable then as that extra vram is tempting
Nvidia i think would have put up prices anyway as its what they do and while they are top and driving the market i honestly feel the profit margins are out of control you can't possibly say that them prices are fair to the person buying it.
I could get several 2nd cars for that cost how is that in anyway realistic given the materials involved
My reason for never going nvidia again was due to software gen locked features, rtx voice was the one as i had that fully working on my 970's but nvidia didn't want that they wanted new sales and for 3k series owners its no different with to my knowledge dlss in terms of versions maybe im incorrect cause im never owning an nvidia gpu again.
Intel kinda half won me back with the laptop but i only got it due to price and discount if an amd one had been similar performance at same price no chance intel. Thou in the future maybe on the gpu side depending but doubtful.
So i might get the new card or i might go 7900xtx it really depends on the dxr difference cause if the 7900xtx is 10% less but drastically cheaper well then its obvious cause my main want from amd im waiting on is their real chiplet ark to be released and worked out on the gpu side.
Nvidias prices due too software always deserved a slight premium but never to the extent they are at now I'll not support it.
So sure you can get the best card but if it ends up costing £2500 you cant seriously justify it thou of course you will so you don't feel bad about the spending.
Cause my 6800xt is still doing fine for gaming and sure getting older needs a boost in dxr but it was never doing badly in that.
Marketing on gpus is like i can get to the shops at 150mph but on this other brand only 30 to 60 but you know what you still get to the shop either way right

️
Oh and id prefer that it doesn't melt on the way due too and here is the part the new cards will have issues bad design more power you say
