Royal Mail Help!

I sold a pair of earphones on eBay and sent them off today but I forgot to get a receipt from the post office of Royal Mail. I usually don't forget but I did and I wanted proof of me sending it in case he tries to claim he hasn't received it.

Is there a way to get that receipt from the office because I sent it off today later in the evening so if I go early in the morning will I be able to get a receipt from the local Royal mail post office? Thanks guys!

It maybe possible if you know what time you were served and how much precisely the cost was, and if the same person that served you is working, then they can recall sale and print a fresh receipt.

If you paid by bank card you can probably look up the exact date and time that you shipped them and paid for it. Then continue as Wraith said.

Might help to print out the bank transfer thing as 'proof', but I'm pretty sure if I went to my local post office now, where they know who I am and explained a situation like that, they'd be willing to help you.

And that, children, is why we always get tracking on parcels. So you have proof of you sending it out, an idea of where it is at, and a smaller chance of deliverers thinking "Hey, free earphones". :(

SHort answer - nope.

Without a signiture on delivery youre fecked and will have to refund him

So I went to the post office today in the morning and gave a 5 min talk to them about how I really need a receipt after being denied twice and I gave them the address and name and some how I managed to get a receipt printed off. It was a miracle. I am so happy I managed to get one so a lesson learned, just ask and ask and ask and ask some more in a polite manner and you will eventually get it done;)

Told ya ;) I've done it myself. Glad you got it sorted.

Glad you got it sorted out and got yourself covered, would have been a real pita if the guy you sent it to would be the ultimate douche and get away with it

I'm not trying to worry you, but if the buyer still decided to be an asshat paypal and ebay would side with him and refund him with your money anyway. Proof of postage is totally meaningless. Proof of receipt, signed by the buyer is different.

The only thing its useful for is if you dispute that it was delivered with RM, however that takes well over a month and paypal would refund the buyer a week after they requested it.
